AMAZINGLY COMPACT YET VERSATILE. Engineered in Japan to be the smallest "full-featured" motorcycle security system in the world. The driving force behind this compact design was the need to fit the 866F within the seat compartment of any motorcycle. With almost no space available for mounting a security device, Harley Davidson motorcycles served as the greatest design challenge. The end result was a complete motorcycle alarm system the size of a pack of cigarettes, with features that match or beat bulkier competing products. West Coast Cycle is now pleased to offer this marvel of Japanese engineering to the United States. Hi-Tech Tilt Sensing. At the heart of the Cyclone 866F rests a sophisticated RISC microprocessor and A/D converter (see Technology for definitions). The processor calculates bike inclination changes on two axes by reading the output of an advanced accelerometer chip. But unlike some of our well-known competitors' products that rely on fragile "ADXL" accelerometers, our engineers selected a new thermal-shift sensing accelerometer that has no moving parts. The Cyclone 866F uses the only accelerometer that can withstand shocks of up to 50,000g -- making it resilient against jackhammer-like vibrations in motorcycles, allowing us to offer a limited Lifetime Warranty. Our digital tilt sensor is one-of-a-kind, none of our competitors, either aftermarket or factory OEM, are using our thermovarient-accelerometer tilt detection technology. In fact, many competing motorcycle alarms are still using 35-year-old "mercury switches" which are totally ineffective when the bike is parked on an incline. CYCLONE security sets the standard for tilt sensor reliability, accuracy and durability. 2 Zone Shock Sensor. CYCLONE's 2-stage shock sensor is not an off-the-shelf part. We designed it to exceed the performance of competing sensors in terms of maximizing sensitivity while eliminating false alarms. The digital 2-axis tilt sensor and 2 stage shock sensor immediately trigger the siren during theft attempts. Separate adjustments for 1st & 2nd shock stages allows the user to program the system to fit their needs. Finally, digital and analog filtering prevents false alarms. Onboard Battery Backup. Internal Ni-MH battery keeps Cyclone running when the main power is cut, and siren is immediately triggered. Backup battery has the capacity to drive the full siren blast for over two hours, and will automatically recharge when the system is connected to the bike's battery.
