There is heated clothing and then there is heated clothing. Warm &
Safe heated gear is made by people who ride ... the hardcore
globetrotting kind of riding.
After years of selling their great generation 2 & 3 heated gear, we now stock
the full line of gen 4 heated gear. The difference between 4 and 3 is in
the wiring technology. Gen 4 utilizes soft carbon heating panels (also
know as far infrared) instead of the traditional nickel
chromium nano wire in the previous generations. W&S labels their heated
jackets at 90w (at 12.8v). However, measured at 13.8v, as some
heated clothing manufacturers do, will place this heated liner at 110
watts.
As with all Warm & Safe heated jackets, you can hook up a single
Heat-Troller to control the jacket and possibly heated gloves hooked up
to the sleeve connectors, or you can use a dual Heat-Troller to separate
the jacket and gloves into 2 distinct heat zones.
Another major distinction between Warm & Safe and most other brands is
in their offering of true ladies sizes and Tall sizes for men.
- 110 watts of heat at 13.8v
- Soft carbon heating panels
- Breathable polyester microfiber outer with wind-block
- Standard coax connectors
- Single or Dual controller functionality
- Storage pouch

Warm & Safe heated clothing is always sold without a controller.
Reason is the wide variety of available controllers. All
Heat-Troller
controllers are true pulse-width modulating 100% variable controllers
(no old fashioned rheo-stats)
with a capacity up to 15 amps. Many other brands sell clothing
controller included, usually a cheap
fixed-setting controller.
A standard Single Portable controller has the control knob on the
controller and is usually kept in the left pocket. With a Single Remote
controller, you keep the receiver hooked to the jacket and in your
pocket while the remote control is kept within reach anywhere on the
bike. Dual controllers do the same thing but control two separate
zones (gloves and jacket for instance)
