ABUS Detecto 7000 RS1 is the latest in the ABUS Detecto series Alarmed Disc Locks.
The difference between this lock and 7000 RS2 - RS3 is in the sensitivity of the alarm module. Where RS2 and 3 models have a less sensitive shock sensor (the alarm goes off only if someone tampers with the lock), 7000RS1 has a 3D positioning system and only needs a slight movement to set off the 110dB alarm for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds the alarm goes back in active wait mode.

All Detecto 7000 series are very easy to use and extremely tough to get off the disc. When opened, the bottom part hinges away allowing it to be clamped into the brake-disc and pressed shut. The alarm is activated by pushing the alarm activator into the disc. The main advantage is that ABUS Detecto locks can be locked onto the disc without activating the alarm.

A multicolor LED gives information on battery status, activation of the alarm module and system on duty. Audio signals indicate these features as well. Detecto RS1 comes with batteries installed ( 2 AAA batteries), 2 high security keys and a storage pouch.
