The hasp comes with our high quality Aluminum body and 6 pin cylinder PLLK4011 puck lock pre-installed with stainless hardware.
You have the option to install the hasp, on your van or trailer doors, with our without the lock permanently attached.
This hasp has the lock oriented with cylinder / key operation facing down rather than sideways (see our PL770 lock/hasp combo with side oriented lock)
The 6 pin cylinder, fitted with anti bump and pick technology, is protected from the elements with a unique silicone cover.
The hasp installs with a total of 7 bolts (not included).
5 carriage bolts and 2 flat countersunk bolts which will be not accessible (under the lock) when the hasp is closed and lock is secured.
Due to a wide variety of installation possibilities, which will require different lengths of bolts, we decided not to include mounting hardware. Bolts are readily available at any local hardware store.
We recommend using stainless steel hardware.
When ordering multiple hasp/lock sets, you have the option to have all your locks keyed different or all keyed the same.
Keep in mind that keyed alike locks can be practical, one key for all, but can also increase security risk (i.e when one key is compromised, all locks are compromised).
Multiple locks, used on one single vehicle or application, are usually keyed alike while locks used on different vehicles are often more secure keyed different.
