ABUS 20/70 PLUS Diskus Padlock.
The 20/70 has a standard size, identical to the many cheap knock-offs founds at hardware stores and storage facilities, but is fitted with a high security ABUS PLUS cylinder.
Made in Germany, this is the highest level available in round Diskus Padlocks.
The 70 refers to the 70mm outside diameter. It is popular for storage units but for lockers you may want to check the hasp opening. The 10mm shackle diameter is often too large for gym and school lockers.
ABUS 24IB60 has a smaller diameter (8mm) shackle.
ABUS invented the disc lock over 30 years ago and has continued to develop it into the market leader it is today. The design has been copied by just about every lock supplier in the world but none come close to the quality of the original. Today the DISKUS family consists of 4 models and sizes ranging from 2 inch up to 3 5/8 inch wide. ABUS has designed a special hasp (140 Series) to be used with the DISKUS locks.
All 20 Series locks are available keyed different, keyed alike and master keyed.

Ordering Options - Keyed alike service
- Keyed Different: Select this option if only one lock is needed. If multiple Keyed Different locks are ordered, each lock will be Keyed Different. Each lock will include its own set of 2 keys and code card.
- Keyed Alike: Select this option if you need multiple locks all keyed the same. Every key in a Keyed Alike order will be identical and each lock will include a set of 2 keys. When ordering Keyed Alike locks, please keep in mind certain security risks. See Security Risks below.
- Keyed Specific: Select this option if you need one or more 20/70 locks keyed to a specific ABUS Plus1 key you already have. Enter the 6 digit key code found on your PLUS code card in the Notes field.
Additional Information
ABUS 20/70 locks are not rekeyable. This means a keyed specific lock will be assembled with the requested key code at the factory in Germany. This process can take 4 to 8 weeks from order to delivery.
Security Risks
There are two kinds of security risks involved with keyed alike series of locks.
1 - Always keep in mind that one compromised key, in the hands of an unauthorized person, compromises all your locks instead of just the one.
2 - While off-the-shelf Keyed Alike locks are a fast and convenient way to purchase several locks keyed the same, anyone buying from that same batch essentially has your key. To minimize risk, we stock several keyed alike series and will randomly pick from available keyed alike inventory. Consider ordering keyed alike locks keyed to a random key code. If you do not already have a PLUS key code, from a lock you own, and do not want off the shelf keyed alike locks, there is an easy way to accomplish this.
Step1 - Pick a lock Keyed Different and add to cart. Continue shopping.
Step2 - Pick Keyed Specific, the number of locks you want, add an instruction in the Notes field and add to cart.
We will set aside a randomly keyed different lock and have the additional locks spec assembled at he factory.
1 This lock is fitted with the ABUS PLUS cylinder. It cannot be keyed alike to X-PLus products.

I ordered a keyed-the-same set of these locks as well as an ABUS 140/120 Stainless Steel Hasp, and it all just worked together beautifully. Way more secure than the locks they replaced, the hasp work very well. Customer experience on Lockitt was seamless: it's great to find a trust worthy small business in the security space rather than throwing more money at Amazon.

I called the Lock company to learn more and they suggested I use "Lockitt". I called and spoke to Gentleman who picked up right away. HE answered all my questions and actually recommended the right lock for my purpose of use(storage locker). I would have gotten the wrong lock and spent more than necessary. This was my second order of Abus diskus padlocks from Lockitt. I saw the locks for a buck or two cheaper at a big online retailer, but it wouldn't have arrived for over a week. It was Wednesday night and I needed the locks by Sunday for use on a moving truck. My previous order from Lockitt had arrived very quickly so I decided to order from them again. They didn't let me down because I had the locks by Saturday afternoon!
I really appreciate Lockitt having quality locks like the Abus 20/70 in stock and getting my locks to me at lightning speed! There are no Abus retailers in my area and I wouldn't settle for anything less because of these locks' quality construction and pick resistance.

I purchased an ABUS 20/70 through another retailer, but I feel obligated to leave a review at any retailer I can think of after this weekend. I was out of the house for 3 days while in the process of moving, and had to leave a moving container outside my home during this time. I had locked it with 2 separate disc locks, one provided by the PODS company, and this ABUS 20/70 lock.
It doesn't show in the pictures available here, but underneath the cover, the core is protected by a stainless steel cover only large enough to allow the key in. This is what saved my butt thousands in potential losses, plus untold amounts of personal priceless items being stolen.
While I was gone, someone attempted to drill out the cores on these locks. The PODS branded lock was clearly easily drilled clean through, but they were unable to do much more than scratch the surface of my ABUS lock. It's still on the pod and I've already ordered a second one as well.
This lock is DEFINITELY drill resistant and assuming you're using a disc lock correctly it will be very difficult if not impossible to use bolt cutters on the shackle. Absolutely 5/5 stars from me.
