Following information might help you choose between the less expensive Oxford Heaterz , US made Hot Grips^© or other heating solutions like Symtec's Heat Demons under grip or in-bar heating elements.

Hot Grips^© is the original heated grip and 100% MADE IN USA*. Installation requires a little more work as they do not come pre-configured with quick release connectors. However, installation can be done more proffesional, quality is top notch and due to their special inner design, heat loss through the handlebar is much less than any other heated grip brand. Hot Grips^© heat is distributed evenly and all around the grip and they are Guaranteed Never To Burn Out. No hot and cold spots with Hot Grips.
Hot Grips^© are available in open or closed (end) version, for 7/8" or 1" diameter handlebars and 3 different grip lengths.

A genuine Heat-Troller electronic pulse-width modulating controller, instead of the standard hi/lo/off switch, is optionally available at a great bundled price with purchase of a new set Hot Grips^©. If quality is your thing and you want the best bang for your buck, go with the original.

Oxford Heaterz Heated Grips and Hot Hands, although China made, maintain a very high quality for a super price.  Install is a breeze with all the connectors pre configured. Connect the battery lead to the bike's battery. Connect the switch or controller to the grips and enjoy. It truly is a plug & play setup. Oxford Heaterz are available for 7/8" (Original & Sport), 1" (Custom) handlebars and ATV's.
Spare parts are available from our Grip Parts page. All Oxford Heaterz (Original, Sport or Custom) come pre-configured with the electronic controller and all materials in the box. HotHands with a on/off switch only. The difference between Original and Sport grips is only look & feel.

SYMTEC Under grip hand warmers are a great and low cost alternative if you want or need to use your stock or aftermarket grips. There is more heat loss through the handlebars but, there is still sufficient heat reaching the outside grips.
Symtec Heat Demons are heating elements inserted inside the hollow handlebar. They come with a fabulous OEM looking controller. There is a version for Harley and one for Metric bikes.

* Not to be confused with Oxford heated grips sold as Hot Grips in Europe.

Why use Heated Grips instead of Heated Gloves?
Heated grips have the advantage to be always available. Imagine you are riding home on a cold spring/fall night, just flip the switch and ride in comfort. 
Heated gloves have the advantage to heat your hands on the outside, where it matters more, under extreme low temperatures. The problem is that, most likely, you will not be riding with heated gloves before it gets really cold. From a heat supply viewpoint, heated gloves are better than heated grips. It is also a common misconception that you would have wires dangling from your gloves. The wires always come through your jacket sleeves straight into the gloves. A great combination with heated grips are Oxford Muff hand warmers.

Hot Hands can be mounted and removed in a few seconds for those cold morning and evenings. Keep in mind that you are adding material to your grips and for some people (real small hands) this might feel uncomfortable.

How do I know this will fit my grips?
Hot Hands will fit all standard grips. If you think your grips are fatter (most cruiser bikes are) then do this. Wrap a strip of paper around your grips and mark where it touches. Lay flat and measure length. Hot Hands measured flat are about 6" (155mm) long including a 1" (25mm)  hook&loop fastener strip. If your paper strip measures more than 5" you will have trouble closing the Hot Hands. 5" or below means you are good to go.

This is Oxford's latest addition to it's heated grips line-up. OF696 Sport Heated grips have a different feel than regular Oxford 7/8" heaters. Where the OF699 is a much softer all-round heated grip, for sport and tour bikes, the knurled profile on the OF696 Sport Heaterz provides a better grip. The feel is harder.
Total length is 123mm but there is provided groove to cut the grips shorter. Outside diameter is the same as OF699 Heaterz, about 34mm. Ends are open.

Oxford ATV heated grips have a great soft feel and are easy to install. The package comes with everything you need although we do recommend you purchase the extra 2 component PowerPoxy. The all-new temperature control makes them very easy to use too. Just dial in the heat setting and enjoy the ride. The drain on your electrical system is minimal (up to 4amps total) and the controller has a bright reminder light.
