With a straight 78mm opening, this lock is suitable for fat tires .
Lock is NR (Non Key Retaining when lock is open).
- 8.5 mm steel shackle
- The case, the shackle as well as supporting elements of the locking mechanism are made of special hardened steel
- Closing mechanism for easy attachment of accessory to the lock body
- Extra large aperture (enlarged to standard version 5650)
- ABUS automatic cylinder
- Two keys are supplied with the lock
- The NR (non key retaining) version allows taking the key out of the cylinder
If you do not have factory mounting poins on the seat-stay, you may need our LH Straps.

This lock is functioning well - love that I could get it keyed alike to another Abus lock that I already had. A little disappointed that the mounting holes were too wide to be installed on the bosses that the original lock used, but it does have quite a large opening for a tire, so that makes sense. The separate mounting kit was fairly minimalist and gets the job done. Also like that it allows removal of the separate chain lock until the lock is reset - and while this isn't the key-retaining model, it seems to hold the key on a small detachable chainring just fine if inserted with a half turn.
