I mainly chose this lock, other than the fact that it's the dimensions I needed, was because Abus' website said this lock was Made in Germany but the box says Made in China, unfortunately. But other than that, it's smooth and gets the job done.

To clarify, ABUS does have a manufacturing facility in China where locks are produced to the same specs as they are in Germany.
They are not locks produced by third party manufacturers.
