ABUS 83CS/45 is the high-guard protected shackle variation of the brass 83/45 padlock. Same corrosion resistant solid brass-body lock body with hardened steel shackle.
As with all 83 series padlocks, 83/45 is re-keyable to your existing house key. This helps eliminating extra keys to carry. Most common house keys in the US are Kwikset and Schlage but we also have cylinders for a wide variety of other lock brands.
Cylinder Options:
ABUS 83 series padlocks are factory fitted with a Schlage or Kwikset * compatible cylinder with blank key. You receive a zero bitted lock and 1 key blank per lock which will open the lock.
The idea being to re-key the cylinder to a house key you already own. You can take the lock to any locksmith to have it quickly re-keyed or if you have a pin set, it is easy to re-key yourself. The supplied blank key can be cut to match your existing key.
Alternatively all 83 locks can be ordered fitted with the ABUS 888 Restricted cylinder.
Simply order the padlock version without cylinder, add the 888 cylinder and we custom fit it for you.
