A 12mm squared link special hardened high security chain, approximately 120cm* long with Noose ring attached. The use of a noose ring allows you to utilize the full length of the chain. Cinch around one object and lock the chain in place on another object. Since only one side of the chain is used in the lock, this makes a 4ft chain pretty much the equivalent of 8ft regular chain.
Preferred use is with a U-lock or large padlock.

Paired this chain with a folding bike lock to secure an e-cargo bike at home and out in the world. ABUS recommended this 12mm rather than the 15mm, saying security is high enough and that the 15mm is just too heavy to carry around as a bike lock.

This is a beast of a chain, that only needs to be half the length because of the noose arrangement. Half the length, half the weight, but all the strength. I connect the other end to my Abus Granit 540 D-lock. I pity the fool who tries to cut this because I'll be back before he can get halfway through it.

I was surprised to see how hefty this chain is when I got it for the first time, but it is still light enough to carry around, no doubt thanks the very useful cinch ring at one end, the chain would have to be twice as long (and heavy) to reach the same distance without it, the included sleeve is a nice bonus.
Can't speak for the strength of the chain but multiple reviewers I checked before buying it do speak very well of Abus's build quality, this 12mm chain being as strong as some manufacturer's 13 and even 14mm chains reportedly, and if so nothing short of an angle grinder or the Hulk wielding giant bolt cutters is going to go trough it. I hope I never have to find out how true that is but does instill a lot of piece of mind
