This extra long bolt allows the Abus Granit Victory X-Plus disc lock to be used with a chain while mounted on the brake disc. While the mounted short bolt in the 68 Disc lock, only has about 1/4" - 6mm length*, the 1-1/4" - 31mm long bolt allows the lock to be used on the brake disc while, depending on chain link gauge, provide room for one or two chain links.
