ABUS WA50 Anchor
WA50 is ABUS's economy security anchor point. Don't let the low cost fool you, this is one tough little Made in Germany wall anchor. As with all ABUS products, a lot of thought has gone into the design of this anchor. The anchor has a two piece base plate which interlocks with the top part. The top anchor has folded edges for added strength and cutting resistance. 2 long anchor screws are recessed through both steel plates, reinforced with steel bushings and capped of with steel plugs.
Typical use would be securing bicycles, a generator, tools, lawn furniture etc. Pretty much any steel cable will fit and most 10mm or 3/8" security chains

Installation:
Installation requires a 10mm (3/8" will do) and a 16mm (5/8") drill bit. The included anchor screws are for concrete, solid brick or similar solid surfaces. For softer or more porous surfaces, long expansion bolts or appropriate wood screws (not included) should be used.
1: Join all 3 pieces of the anchor to mark drilling holes.
2: Drill two 10mm holes 140mm (5 1/2") deep.
3: Drill out same holes with a 16mm bit about 35mm (1.38") deep to accommodate the steel bushings.
4: Position the wall anchor and hammer it in place.
5: Tighten screws and cap off with included steel plugs.
Tips: Some tape on the drill bit helps determining the correct drill depth. For final installation, adding a bonding adhesive in the drilled holes will provide additional strength.
