Anti-Pinch Pin for 16 & 19mm Security Chain - 250mm to 490mm long
    Close Anti-Pinch Pin for 16 & 19mm Security Chain - 250mm to 490mm long

    Product Description

The Anti-Pinch pin is a perfect solution when you want to use a big 16 or 19mm chain but there is not enough space to pass the chain through. Whether you need to pass through the frame of a motorcycle, through the swing-arm, the rear-wheel hollow axle, the small openings in a scooter or trailer wheel or have a floor anchor made for smaller diameter chains, the 23mm (0.90") hardened steel bar is easier to fit than a 16mm chain with 62mm (2-7/16") total chain width.

The Anti-Pinch Pin accepts our 16 and 19mm Protector chains, is made specifically to accept the Squire SS65CS Stronghold padlock and comes in a variety of lengths  The chain can be fitted with both links on one end of the pin or a link on each end, as shown in the images above. Using a pin and chain combination allows you to save money by using a shorter chain. You can use any chain with inner spacing greater than 30mm.

On almost all motorcycles you can pass the pin through, over the engine, with a chain fitted on each end and routed through a Torc floor anchor fitted under the bike. Another unique way is to fit the pin through the hollow rear wheel axle on many BMW, Ducati, Triumph, MV Augusta, Honda VFR etc. To get the bike would require the thief to disassemble the entire swing arm setup (see images above) which often involves removing the engine as well.

How do I know which pin length to get?
The easiest way is to measure with a broom stick. If you can freely pass through the frame or axle with 0.90" - 23mm bar, you can fit the Anti-Pinch Pin. With a 16mm chain and padlock, you need about 3.5" or 90mm free pin length.
    Pin lengths available are 250mm (9.84"), 290mm (11.42"), 340mm (13.40"), 390mm (15.35"), 440mm (17.32") and 490mm (19.30")
IMPORTANT! Since the Anti-Pinch Pin is a UK made product and manufactured specifically to accept the UK made SS65CS padlock, you need both pin and padlock. If you already own a Squire SS65CS padlock then all you need is the pin. No, the Anti-Pinch Pin currently does not accept any other padlocks.

What is the Anti-Pinch Pin made of?
The Anti-Pinch Pin is made from 23mm diameter steel bar that is welded to a 70mm diameter flat head, or to a 50mm diameter head on the Mini-Pin. A recess is machined at the non-headed end in order to accommodate the padlock, which fits on perpendicularly. The finished Pin assembly is case hardened with a carbonitriding process, bright zinc plated with a clear passivate, and deembrittled. Lock pull-off tests confirmed theoretical calculations that even heavy duty bearing pullers are unlikely to achieve anything at all - the shear area involved in the Pin itself is too great and the lock body is also extremely strong with the shackle giving further reinforcement (the SS65CS is CEN 6 rated, with a 10 ton shackle retention).
